The company was founded by Thomas Spijkerman in 2008.<br>Since then Jan-Paul has been one of the key creatives of the group, working as a writer and actor in almost every production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to its many theatre productions, Circus Treurdier created the absurdist comedy TV series <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vpro.nl\/programmas\/treurteevee.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TreurTeeVee<\/a> (English title: WeepTeeVee)<\/em>.<br>The series was nominated for several screenplay awards.
